Afternoon Tea

The Duchess of Bedfordshire, Queen Victoria’s Lady in Waiting is best remembered for founding the most British of meals, Afternoon Tea.

She complained of hunger because of the long time gap between luncheon and evening dinner and the light meal of delicate sandwiches and dainty cakes soon became popular within the middle classes and has become an institution in itself!

Chimneys is delighted to offer Afternoon Tea to guests and their friends by prior arrangement.

Chimneys Afternoon Tea consists of finger sandwiches, cheese and chive scones, fruit scones with homemade preserves and clotted cream and a selection of homemade cakes.

What a great way to compliment your Norfolk break or add as an extra treat.
